Job Summary
International Community Schools is seeking an experienced, visionary and dynamic Vice Principal to join its educational leadership team in Abu Dhabi.
Working closely with the Principal, the Vice Principal will contribute to academic excellence, positive school culture and instructional improvement. The successful candidate will bring a proven track record in curriculum implementation, staff leadership and improving student achievement within an international or private school environment.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Leadership
* Lead curriculum development, assessment strategies and quality assurance initiatives.
* Drive continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
* Support the implementation of effective instructional practices across the school.
* Monitor academic standards and student achievement.
Staff Mentorship & Development
* Supervise and evaluate teaching staff.
* Conduct regular observations and provide constructive professional feedback.
* Support targeted professional learning and staff development.
* Build a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
Student Wellbeing & Behaviour
* Oversee student pastoral care and wellbeing.
* Support effective behaviour-management systems.
* Lead inclusion frameworks that promote a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment.
* Work with staff and families to address student needs.
Operational Management
* Assist the Principal with day-to-day school administration.
* Support master scheduling and operational planning.
* Assist with policy implementation.
* Coordinate and support school events and activities.
Parent & Community Engagement
* Develop strong and collaborative relationships with parents and the wider school community.
* Engage with community partners and relevant educational authorities.
* Support effective communication between the school, families and stakeholders.
* Ensure alignment with relevant ADEK requirements and guidelines.
Qualification
Education
