Student Counsellor

The Student Counsellor will provide confidential, age‑appropriate counselling and wellbeing support to students, fostering a safe and inclusive environment that promotes emotional, social, and academic development.

• Provide individual counselling and emotional support to students facing personal, social, emotional, or school‑related challenges. • Conduct age‑appropriate counselling sessions using evidence‑informed approaches. • Develop tailored support plans based on identified student needs. • Offer short‑term targeted interventions and refer students to specialist support when necessary. • Promote resilience, self‑awareness, emotional regulation, and positive coping strategies. • Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and comply with safeguarding policies. • Participate in safeguarding meetings and report concerns promptly. • Collaborate closely with Heads of Year, Form Tutors, Heads of Department, SENCO/Inclusion staff, and pastoral leaders. • Communicate professionally with parents and carers regarding student wellbeing and support.
