Service Technician - Electric Vehicle

Join BYD and Al‑Futtaim Electric Mobility as an EV Service Technician and contribute to the future of automotive technology. In this role you will diagnose, maintain, and repair BYD electric vehicles, ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction while staying current with evolving EV innovations.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot EV systems, including high‑voltage components and battery systems. • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repair work on BYD electric vehicles. • Carry out repairs following manufacturer guidelines and EV safety standards. • Complete repairs accurately the first time to minimise vehicle downtime. • Conduct vehicle inspections and support Electronic Vehicle Check (EVC) reporting. • Adhere to high‑voltage safety procedures, workshop processes, and 5S standards. • Use parts, tools, and workshop resources efficiently. • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to deliver exceptional customer service. • Keep up‑to‑date knowledge of EV technology and automotive innovations.

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. • Experience in vehicle maintenance and repair. • Knowledge of electrical, electronic, and automotive systems. • Understanding of EV technology, battery systems, and charging systems (preferred). • Ability to use diagnostic tools and interpret technical manuals. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. • Good communication skills in English. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. • Passion for new technologies and electric mobility.
