Senior Governance, Risk Compliance Specialist I

We are looking for a seasoned professional to lead governance and compliance efforts within the UAE insurance sector. The role ensures adherence to regulatory standards, mitigates risks, and maintains a robust governance framework across the organization and its international branches.

• Develop, implement, and maintain corporate governance frameworks and policies. • Ensure compliance with UAE insurance laws, healthcare regulations, AML requirements, and standards set by CBUAE, SCA, DoH, and DHA. • Oversee governance and compliance functions of branches and subsidiaries outside the UAE. • Provide training and awareness programs on regulatory changes. • Act as primary contact for regulatory audits and inspections. • Build relationships with regulators and industry bodies to stay informed on evolving expectations.

• Minimum of 8‑10 years of experience in Governance and Compliance within the UAE insurance industry. • In‑depth knowledge of UAE insurance and healthcare regulations, governance frameworks, and risk management best practices. • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Risk or related field; Master’s degree or professional certifications in compliance, AML, Risk, or Governance preferred. • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and strategic decision‑making skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Proven experience liaising with UAE regulators (CBUAE, SCA, DoH, DHA) and managing GRC functions for international branches.

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Risk or related field; Master’s degree or professional certifications in compliance, AML, Risk, or Governance are advantageous.
