Job Description
Harrow International School Dubai is seeking an exceptional Primary Teacher to join its founding team for August 2026.
As a member of the founding team, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in building a vibrant and inclusive school community where every pupil is nurtured, challenged and empowered to achieve their very best. Teachers will help establish an educational experience shaped by Harrow's distinctive values of Courage, Honour, Humility and Fellowship.
Harrow teachers, known as Beaks, are expected to deliver exemplary teaching and learning while contributing actively to pastoral care, co-curricular opportunities and the wider life of the School.
The successful candidate will combine intellectual rigour with a genuine passion for working with young people and will contribute to creating an environment where every child can flourish academically, personally and socially.
Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning
• Plan and deliver lessons of the highest quality, characterised by intellectual rigour, engagement and creativity.
• Ensure pupils are appropriately challenged, supported and inspired to achieve their full potential.
• Differentiate and adapt teaching and learning to meet individual needs.
• Establish a purposeful, inclusive and aspirational classroom culture.

• Comply with Harrow Dubai policies, UAE regulations and international best practice.
• Communicate proactively and sensitively with parents.
• Maintain accurate records of relevant interactions with families.
• Build strong partnerships between home and school.

• Contribute actively to the House system and develop pupils' sense of pride, belonging and fellowship.
Requirements
• Appropriate degree.
• UK PGCE or another teaching qualification that provides QTS.
• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience.
• Familiarity with the National Curriculum of England.
• Familiarity with IGCSE/GCSE and/or A Levels as appropriate.
• Prior teaching experience is essential.
• Experience in leading independent schools is preferred.
• Proven commitment to safeguarding children and understanding of safeguarding procedures.
• Genuine passion for working with young people.

SAFEGUARDING & BACKGROUND CHECKS
