Primary ELL Teacher - January 2027

GEMS International School, Dubai Hills invites experienced Primary ELL teachers to join our IB‑aligned team. The role focuses on delivering inquiry‑based lessons, fostering inclusive learning environments, and supporting students across diverse needs. Teachers will collaborate on curriculum design, assess progress, and engage with the wider school community to promote the GEMS values and IB Learner Profile.

• Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry‑based lessons that inspire curiosity and critical thinking. • Create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment. • Differentiate teaching strategies for EAL, gifted, and students requiring additional support. • Integrate technology and innovative approaches to enhance learning. • Assess, record, and communicate student progress using data. • Collaborate with colleagues on IB‑aligned curriculum and assessments. • Contribute to co‑curricular activities, events, and community initiatives. • Build positive relationships with parents and the wider school community. • Engage in ongoing professional learning and reflection.

• Certified professional teaching qualification at degree level (B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent in Primary). • Minimum of 3 years of solid experience teaching Primary ELL, preferably within an IB curriculum school. • Experience teaching PYP is preferred. • Passion for inspiring young learners through innovative, inquiry‑based teaching. • Commitment to professional growth and collaboration within a forward‑thinking community.

Certified professional teaching qualification at degree level (B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent in Primary).
