Job Description
Al Dhafra Hospitals is seeking a dedicated Podiatrist to deliver high-quality, comprehensive, and evidence-based podiatric care. The practitioner will oversee and provide services across inpatient units, outpatient clinics, local community health centres, and home care services. Core focus areas include general clinical care, biomechanical evaluations, diabetic wound management, minor surgical procedures, fabrication of orthotics, pediatric foot health, and supporting departmental quality initiatives.
Responsibilities
• Deliver diagnostic, preventative, and therapeutic podiatry care across outpatient, inpatient, community, and home care settings.
• Perform minor surgical treatments, diabetic foot assessments, biomechanical evaluations, and prescription of orthotic devices.
• Supervise subordinate technical and administrative staff, ensuring adherence to departmental workflows and clinical standards.
• Oversee clinical supplies, equipment maintenance, and inventory levels within the podiatry unit.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date patient records and statistical documentation in compliance with medical documentation standards.
• Follow infection control, safety guidelines, and quality improvement protocols.
• Participate in continuous education, clinical audits, staff training, and community foot health awareness initiatives.
Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working as a Podiatrist (UAE Nationals considered upon completing internship).
• Valid professional clinical license and certifications required to practice in Abu Dhabi/UAE.
• Proven expertise in biomechanical assessment, wound care, and general podiatric interventions.
• Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
