Job Description
Jumeirah College - Dubai, part of GEMS Education, is seeking an experienced, highly organised and professional Personal Assistant to the Principal to provide comprehensive executive and administrative support to the Principal and Senior Leadership Team.
This is a key role requiring exceptional organisational skills, sound judgement, discretion and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced school environment. As the first point of contact for the Principal's Office, the successful candidate will act as a professional ambassador for the school and build positive relationships with staff, parents, students and external stakeholders.
The role is responsible for ensuring the efficient, professional and confidential operation of the Principal's Office while supporting the Principal and Senior Leadership Team in their day-to-day activities.
Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive executive and administrative support to the Principal and Senior Leadership Team.
• Manage complex calendars, appointments, meetings and travel arrangements.
• Prioritise commitments effectively and ensure efficient management of the Principal's schedule.
• Coordinate and prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, minutes and other confidential documentation.
• Maintain professional, timely and high-quality communication on behalf of the Principal.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the Principal's Office.
• Liaise professionally and diplomatically with staff, parents, students, governing bodies and external organisations.
• Coordinate communication and workflow between the Principal's Office and school administrative teams.
• Welcome visitors to the Principal's Office and provide a professional and courteous reception.
• Ensure an excellent visitor experience.
• Support the planning and coordination of meetings, school events and leadership activities.
• Maintain confidential records and handle sensitive information with the highest level of discretion and integrity.
• Ensure compliance with school policies, procedures, safeguarding requirements and professional standards.
• Demonstrate flexibility by supporting activities outside standard working hours when required for school events or operational needs.
• Attend meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, and support committees as required.
• Undertake other duties appropriate to the role as directed by the Principal or Senior Leadership Team.
Requirements
• Previous experience as an Executive Assistant or Personal Assistant supporting senior leaders.
• Outstanding organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• High levels of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
