Islamic Studies Teacher

Our Own English High School - Sharjah - Boys, part of GEMS Education, is seeking an outstanding Islamic Studies Teacher for Primary and Middle School to join the team in August 2026. The school is looking for a fully qualified teacher with exceptional subject knowledge and relevant teaching experience. The successful candidate should demonstrate a creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning, work effectively as part of a team, and communicate professionally with students and parents. Experience with the CBSE curriculum is preferred but not essential.

• Teach Islamic Studies at Primary and Middle School level. • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and effective classroom practice. • Plan and deliver engaging and creative learning experiences. • Contribute positively to the wider school community through participation in activities both inside and outside the classroom. • Work collaboratively within the department and across different phases of the school. • Build positive and professional relationships with students and parents. • Use appropriate IT tools to support teaching and learning. • Communicate effectively with students, parents and colleagues. • Contribute to a positive and collaborative school environment.

• Fully qualified teacher with exceptional subject knowledge and relevant experience. • Minimum 2 years of experience in the same field. • Experience teaching Islamic Studies. • Experience with the CBSE curriculum is preferred but not essential. • Creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom. • Excellent team-player skills within the department and across phases. • Excellent IT skills. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Strong communication and presentation skills.
