Job Description

Harrow International School Dubai is seeking an exceptional Primary EYFS Teacher to join its founding team from January 2027. As a founding team member, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in building a vibrant, inclusive school community where the learning and development of every individual is at the heart of daily life. Guided by Harrow's values of Courage, Honour, Humility and Fellowship, teachers will create an environment in which every pupil is nurtured, challenged and empowered to achieve their very best. Harrow teachers, known as Beaks, are expected to deliver exemplary teaching and learning while contributing actively to the pastoral, co-curricular and wider life of the School. The role combines high-quality teaching with pastoral care, safeguarding, curriculum development and participation in the House and co-curricular systems.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES Teaching and Learning • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons characterised by intellectual rigour, engagement and creativity. • Ensure pupils are appropriately challenged, supported and inspired to achieve their full potential. • Differentiate and adapt teaching and learning to meet individual needs. • Establish a purposeful, inclusive and aspirational classroom culture. • Maintain high expectations that foster curiosity, independence and intellectual courage. • Maintain a stimulating, orderly and well-resourced learning environment. • Implement effective formative and summative assessment practices. • Use assessment evidence to recognise achievement, inform planning and accelerate progress. • Embrace innovation, technology and future-focused pedagogies. Curriculum and Academic Enrichment • Contribute to curriculum design, development and continual refinement. • Ensure curriculum delivery reflects academic rigour, coherence and alignment with relevant international and national frameworks. • Provide pupils with appropriate preparation and support for future stages of their educational journey. • Provide incisive, constructive and timely feedback. • Maintain accurate records of achievement and progress. • Engage with educational research and subject-specific developments. • Apply innovative and evidence-informed approaches to teaching. • Contribute to cross-curricular initiatives, competitions and cultural opportunities. • Participate actively in the co-curricular life of the School. • Contribute to electives, academic societies, lectures and extension opportunities. • Collaborate with colleagues and share effective practice. Pastoral Care and Safeguarding • Provide exemplary pastoral care and support pupils' personal, social and emotional development. • Ensure every child feels known, valued and supported. • Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding, child protection and pupil welfare. • Comply with Harrow Dubai policies, UAE regulations and international best practice. • Communicate proactively and sensitively with parents. • Maintain accurate and timely records of relevant parent interactions. • Build strong partnerships between home and school. • Model and promote Harrow's values of Courage, Honour, Humility and Fellowship. • Contribute actively to the House system and develop pupils' sense of pride, belonging and fellowship.
