Engineering Practical Trainer / Assessor (B2)

Emirates Engineering Training is seeking an Engineering Practical Trainer / Assessor (B2) to organise and deliver Maintenance Practical Training and Assessments for aviation professionals undergoing the National Engineering Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licence (AMEL) Programme.

Organise aircraft for Structured Practical Training, raise required documents, highlight outstanding open entries, organise work allocation, ensure training records comply with the Maintenance Training Organisation Exposition, monitor trainee performance, scrutinise and sign Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's Logbooks, provide trainees with feedback, report trainee performance and areas of concern, maintain current knowledge of company technical publications, processes and procedures, impart current technical knowledge to Basic and Type trainees, monitor trainee activities closely to ensure compliance with safety rules, regulations and company procedures, promote a strong safety culture, identify deficiencies or failures that could contribute to accidents, ensure trainees understand and comply with airport safety regulations and airport manoeuvring area requirements, conduct regular assessments of Basic and Type trainees undergoing OJT and practical training, assess trainees' theoretical and practical knowledge across the Emirates aircraft fleet, carry out routine aircraft maintenance and servicing tasks, ensure assigned aircraft and zones are maintained according to documentation issued by approved authorities, ensure compliance with current revisions of aircraft documentation, Technical Notices, Quality Notices, Engineering Procedures Manual and other technical publications, review and update Structured Practical Training, OJT, AMEL Logbook and related documents to maintain compliance and effectiveness, support AMEL and Type Training courses, participate with the Compliance Monitoring section in Final Technical Assessments for granting approval for 145 applicants, conduct Final Assessments of logbooks submitted to GCAA from Emirates Engineering for licensing purposes.

Degree or Honours qualification (12+3 or equivalent), minimum 8 years of experience as an approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, valid UAE-GCAA CAR 66 AMEL Category B2 or B1+B2 Licence, endorsements for at least two aircraft types from B777, A350 and A380, authorisation issued by a CAR 145 organisation Compliance Monitoring / Quality Assurance function, knowledge of the Basic Training CAR66 AMEL Programme and Aircraft Type Training being delivered, familiarity with UAE-GCAA CAR 66/147 requirements, familiarity with EASA Part 66/147 requirements, ability to determine whether trainees have sufficient competence to perform maintenance activities on live aircraft, ability to assess and analyse student responses and provide constructive feedback, ability to identify inconsistencies in OJT and Practical Training Assessment processes, excellent report-writing skills, strong analytical thinking skills.

Degree or Honours qualification (12+3 or equivalent), valid UAE-GCAA CAR 66 AMEL CAT B2 or B1+B2 Licence, at least two aircraft type endorsements from B777, A350 or A380.
