Consultant Critical Care Medicine

Abu Dhabi Health Services Co. (SEHA) is seeking a qualified Consultant in Critical Care Medicine to deliver specialized intensive care clinical services aligned with the highest standards of medical practice. The successful candidate will diagnose and manage critically ill patients, supervise junior clinical staff, collaborate across multidisciplinary medical teams, and actively support divisional administration, scheduling, performance management, and organizational quality initiatives.

• Deliver comprehensive critical care and intensive care diagnosis and management in line with best clinical practice. • Lead clinical ward rounds and continually reassess inpatient and outpatient progress. • Supervise, support, and oversee junior medical staff, ensuring safe and high-quality patient care. • Comply with hospital and departmental policies regarding admissions, consults, procedural preparation, informed consent, and discharge protocols. • Accurately maintain clinical records and documentation in a clear, timely manner. • Regularly evaluate diagnostic and laboratory results and adjust clinical treatments accordingly. • Liaise with other medical specialties and actively participate in multidisciplinary patient care meetings. • Handle clinical referrals from emergency departments, primary care clinics, other specialties, and external healthcare facilities. • Support the Division Chief with administrative tasks, scheduling, coverage planning, and recruitment of medical staff. • Participate in departmental performance management, peer review processes, and resource utilization reviews. • Maintain strict adherence to all SEHA facility policies, regulatory mandates, and continuing medical education requirements.

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) with recognized specialization in Critical Care / Intensive Care Medicine. • Western Board Certification, American Board, CCT (UK), Australian Board, or equivalent Fellowship/subspecialty certification in Critical Care / ICU. • Minimum of 5 years of post-specialization clinical experience in Critical Care / ICU. • Valid Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi license or active eligibility to obtain DOH licensure. • Experience practicing within JCI-accredited healthcare institutions is preferred. • Tier 1 or Tier 2 qualification status according to SEHA medical staff guidelines. • Valid national medical license and verified documentation of ongoing yearly CME credits.

MBBS or equivalent medical degree with specialization in Critical Care/ICU; American Board, CCT UK, Australian Board, or Western Board Fellowship/certification; Tier 1 or Tier 2 SEHA qualification.
