Commerce / Economics Teacher

Our Own English High School - Sharjah - Boys, part of GEMS Education, is seeking an outstanding Commerce / Economics Teacher to join the Senior School team in August 2026. The school is looking for a fully qualified teacher with exceptional subject knowledge and relevant teaching experience. The successful candidate should demonstrate a creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning, work effectively as part of a team, and communicate professionally with students and parents. Experience with the CBSE curriculum is preferred but is not essential.

• Deliver effective Commerce and/or Economics teaching at Senior School level. • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and support students in achieving high academic standards. • Plan and deliver engaging and creative classroom learning experiences. • Contribute positively to the wider school community through participation in activities both inside and outside the classroom. • Work collaboratively within the department and across different phases of the school. • Build positive and professional relationships with students and parents. • Use appropriate IT tools and technology to support teaching and learning. • Contribute to a positive, collaborative and student-focused learning environment.

• Fully qualified teacher with exceptional subject knowledge. • Minimum 2 years of experience in the same field. • Experience teaching Commerce and/or Economics. • Experience with the CBSE curriculum is preferred but not essential. • Creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom. • Excellent team-player skills within the department and across phases. • Excellent IT skills. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working closely with students and parents.
