Cast Technician

Madinat Zayed Hospital, part of the SEHA healthcare network, is hiring a Cast Technician to assist in delivering orthopaedic casting and immobilisation services. Working alongside clinical professionals, the role involves preparing patients and casting equipment, applying and maintaining casts safely, monitoring patients for complications, and upholding high infection-control and healthcare standards.

• Assist healthcare professionals in evaluating and managing patients needing casting or immobilisation. • Prepare patients, clinical areas, tools, and materials for casting and splinting procedures. • Apply, adjust, monitor, and safely remove casts and orthopaedic supports within scope of practice. • Monitor patient comfort and report any adverse reactions, swelling, or circulatory issues to senior medical staff. • Educate patients and families on proper cast maintenance, safety, and follow-up care. • Maintain accurate procedure documentation and manage casting supply levels and equipment sanitation. • Adhere strictly to hospital clinical guidelines, safety regulations, and infection-control protocols.
