Business Development Manager I

This full‑time, on‑site position in Dubai places a Business Development Manager at the heart of Orient Insurance’s growth strategy. The role focuses on generating new leads, nurturing client relationships, and tailoring insurance solutions to meet prospective customers’ needs. Key duties include lead generation, proposal preparation, presenting quotes through internal tools, meeting sales targets, and coordinating with underwriting, claims, and operations teams to ensure seamless client service.

• Generate new leads and expand the client portfolio through proactive business development activities. • Build and maintain long‑term relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention. • Understand client requirements and recommend appropriate insurance products and solutions. • Prepare proposals, present insurance quotes, and customize plans using internal tools and systems. • Achieve assigned sales and business growth targets. • Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and operations teams to ensure seamless client servicing. • Maintain consistent and professional communication with clients throughout the sales cycle.

• Proven experience in Sales and Relationship Management, including lead generation and client retention. • Knowledge of Insurance Solutions, including Property, SME & Individual Medical, Marine, Motor, liability Insurance and other general lines. • Strong Negotiation, Presentation, and Proposal Preparation skills. • Ability to achieve sales targets and work in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment. • Excellent Communication, Interpersonal, and Problem‑Solving skills. • Familiarity with the UAE market and regulatory framework is advantageous. • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or a related field &/or relevant certifications in insurance or risk management.

• Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably within the local insurance industry. • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills. • Holding current portfolio of existing clients and prospects. • Ability to work independently and meet performance goals. • Knowledge of insurance products and market practices in the UAE.
