Biology Teacher - January 2027

GEMS Founders School – Dubai is recruiting a Biology Teacher to join the team in January 2027. The role involves teaching biology across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5, contributing to curriculum development, and supporting a collaborative faculty culture. Teachers will work with well-equipped laboratories, a dedicated technician team, and participate in professional development, coaching, and mentoring programmes. The school offers a supportive environment for early career teachers and opportunities for growth into wider curriculum or leadership responsibilities.

• Deliver biology lessons for KS3–KS5 students • Develop and implement engaging, challenging learning experiences • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and enrichment activities • Participate in professional development, coaching, and mentoring programmes • Support early career teachers through the ECT programme

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area • Recognised Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent • Passion for biology and commitment to inspiring students • Experience or knowledge of teaching GCSE and/or A‑Level biology • Strong knowledge of effective teaching, assessment and differentiation strategies • Excellent communication, collaboration and organisational skills
