Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or related field. 5 to 10 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding, or marine operations. 2-3 years of supervisory or people‑management experience Strong understanding of international logistics, Incoterms, carrier contracts, and rate mechanisms. Experience handling JAFZA operations and UAE customs procedures. Exposure to marine logistics, vessel support, offshore logistics, or drydock operations.s. Strong system proficiency, including CargoWise or similar logistics platforms Experience supporting offshore, oil & gas, marine, or shipyard customers. Knowledge of GCC port operations, drydock facilities, and vessel husbandry services. Experience managing time-critical marine spare deliveries. Experience dealing with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and marine agents. Effective coordination and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work within defined strategies while contributing practical, execution‑focused insights. Strong communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills

Job Description

Join AIT Worldwide Logistics as an Assistant Manager in Supply Chain & Marine Logistics, where you will coordinate end‑to‑end logistics for vessels, shipyards, and drydock operations across the GCC and Gulf region. The role focuses on procurement, customs clearance, transportation, warehousing, and vessel deliveries while ensuring compliance with JAFZA, port, customs, and client requirements.

Responsibilities

You will manage inbound and outbound shipments of vessel spares, consumables, equipment, and project cargo, track deliveries, and maintain inventory visibility. Coordination of warehousing, packing, consolidation, and distribution within JAFZA is required, along with monitoring critical vessel needs for on‑time delivery. You will arrange vessel deliveries at ports, anchorages, offshore sites, and drydocks, liaise with masters, agents, and authorities, and handle launch boat services, port passes, and escort requirements. Customs duties include JAFZA documentation, UAE customs declarations, and resolving shipment exceptions. You will serve as the primary operational contact for customers, provide proactive updates, and collaborate with warehouses, transport providers, customs brokers, and marine agents to meet operational KPIs and continuous improvement goals.
