Job Description
SEHA is seeking an Assistant Manager - Engagement & Culture to support the development of employee engagement and organisational culture across the organisation.
The role focuses on managing employee engagement surveys, supporting engagement action planning, identifying critical moments throughout the employee journey and developing initiatives that positively influence employee experience and culture. The position works closely with People & Organisation teams and regional HR teams to embed engagement strategies across different stages of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, interviewing, onboarding and offboarding.
The Assistant Manager also supports employee events, networks, recognition programmes, culture-change initiatives and internal communications while ensuring alignment with SEHA policies, regulatory requirements and organisational values.
Responsibilities
Employee Engagement
• Project manage employee engagement surveys from end to end in partnership with external providers.
• Lead employee engagement action planning and communication approaches.
• Provide support to regional HR teams in implementing engagement initiatives.
• Support management in implementing internal engagement surveys.
• Support action planning and goal setting based on employee engagement survey findings.
• Ensure leadership teams have access to insights that support positive organisational change.
• Develop and support communication tools and processes related to employee engagement.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in employee engagement initiatives.
Employee Experience & Culture
• Identify critical moments in the employee journey and employee experience where there are opportunities to improve engagement.
• Review existing tools and information relating to employee experience.
• Identify gaps and opportunities to positively influence employee engagement.
• Support initiatives designed to drive culture change.
• Support management in defining, building and growing the organisation's culture.
• Identify and implement ways to continually drive culture change and engagement through organisational values.
Employee Lifecycle
• Work closely with People & Organisation teams to ensure engagement strategies are embedded within their respective strategies.
• Support the integration of engagement initiatives across different stages of the employee lifecycle.
• Contribute to the evolution of recruitment, interviewing, onboarding and offboarding programmes.
Employee Events & Networks
• Develop employee events and networks, both internal and external, that provide opportunities for personal development.
• Support initiatives that contribute to a diverse and inclusive work environment.
• Oversee social activities and performance update events.
• Support employee activities that strengthen organisational engagement and culture.
Recognition Programmes
• Review existing Group and HCF recognition programmes.
• Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
• Identify opportunities to leverage recognition programmes to strengthen employee engagement and organisational culture.
SEHA Compliance
• Comply with SEHA facility policies, procedures and practices.
• Ensure alignment with applicable SEHA facility requirements and other regulatory requirements.
• Complete and maintain applicable regulatory requirements, including mandatory training, within established timeframes.
Confidentiality
• Maintain confidentiality regarding information exchanged or received in the course of the role in accordance with facility policy.
Customer Service & Stakeholder Management
• Act as a brand ambassador for the facility and promote a customer-focused philosophy when dealing with stakeholders.
• Maintain positive and effective working relationships within the department and with other departments and sections.
• Build key partnerships across the organisation to support client-centred, comprehensive and integrated systems of care.
• Perform other duties relevant to the basic responsibilities of the role as assigned.
Health, Safety & Personal Effectiveness
• Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
• Follow applicable infection-control guidelines.
• Understand and adhere to emergency preparedness plans and policies.
• Recognise the importance of continuously developing professional skills and acquiring additional knowledge appropriate to the position.
• Dress appropriately for the specific work area in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety policies.
• Comply with requirements relating to mentoring, training and development of UAE national staff.
